Changes To Trinity Nursery School Staff

By Pearl Ann Slutter

With fond memories I am leaving Trinity Nursery School and Child Care Center. My last day will be Thursday, November 12.

My husband, Rich, and I are relocating to Atlanta, Georgia. Rich has been working in Atlanta since mid-August and I hope to join him in December. Thank you for sharing your Nursery School and Child Care Center with me these past seven years. Working with wonderful teachers, caring families and loving children has been a joy; and, being part of your church community was an added bonus. I wish God's blessings to each of you.

Chris Davis will be replacing me as the Director of Trinity Nursery School and Child Care Center. As many of you know, Chris has been a teacher in the Nursery School for over twenty years. Chris is devoted to maintaining Trinity's high standards in early childhood education.

Get Ready, Get Set, Grow

The results are in!  Thank you to everyone who participated in the small group interest survey. As a result of the nearly 100 surveys, we have narrowed down the list of small groups offered at Trinity.

The new small group ministry will start in the beginning of 2010, as we prepare to grow as a church in the body of Christ. Five groups will be offered:

Making Love Last a Lifetime: No matter where you are in your marriage, it always has room for growth.  The New Year is a great time to renew our commitments to making our marriages stronger!

Dinner & A Movie: Engage your group with fellowship and film!  Your group will find it is easy to choose from these classics, comedies and dramas.

Enough: Discover joy through simplicity and generosity.  This study will offer biblical wisdom of simple living.

Keeping Your Cool: This small group study is designed to help in managing the wear and tear of contemporary living; physical, emotional and spiritual.

Precepts: In-depth study which requires some homework but guarantees spiritual growth. This study will meet every week, unlike the other groups.

Start thinking and praying about which group you would like to be a part of!

Small Groups are groups of 10-15 people who commit to meet once or twice a month in each others homes or at the church to learn and grown in Christ.  Group subject matter will start with a common topic of interest, but it will be up to the group to decide future direction once the first study is complete.

Church Directory Update

by Pat Berg

Things are moving right along with the directories.  The proof was received, checked and returned.  The directories are now in print and will be arriving the first week in Nov.

The committee is excited and pleased with the looks of the new directory and hope that you will feel the same.  My thanks to everyone who helped on this major project: Rose Hibinger for organizing the hosts and hostesses who kept things moving smoothly during picture taking days; Hazel Hobert for helping to get the information to the congregation; Becky and Dan Shilling and Maggie Weeman for helping put the directory together; Sam Sheller for taking the pictures of the shut ins; to those people who loaned us some of their personal pictures; to Sue Hillebrecht and Lynn West for all the miscellaneous help they gave the committee; and to all of you for taking such fantastic pictures.
