Angels Of Comfort

Meets the second and fourth Tuesday of the month at 9:00 a.m. in the Church Library.

During these hot summer months, the Angels of Comfort have been busy preparing for winter. Yes, you read that right! Along with our prayer shawls and lap robes, we have been putting our needles into much smaller items, stocking caps and scarves. Striped ones, solid ones, large ones, small ones— in every color you can imagine.

Some of us heard the Rev. Carl Dulin speak at the UMW Spring Banquet. He told of his mission to take coats to the children in Armenia in memory of his daughter Carrie, who had been a missionary in that country. We knew we could help with this mission and decided to send along gifts from Trinity when he goes this winter.

So, as usual, the needles are clicking and the yarn is flying! We ask if anyone would be willing to join us in this project, but can’t come to the church on the Second and Fourth Tuesday of each month, please let one of us know. We have plenty of yarn to share if you’d like to create from home and just bring in the finished pieces. We will be collecting them until November.

Hmmm, do you think it is our wings that keep us cool on these hot days…
