TRINITY'S GOING OUT-AND-ABOUT TO HELP OUR NEIGHBORS
October 11-14
Are you ready to get out of the pew and get your hands dirty? We're gearing to make HISTORY with a brand new mission trip!
In October, TUMC will be doing it's first ever local mission trip. We are going to stay right here in Orrville and help our neighbors who need help with projects around their homes, but do to circumstances beyond their control, they either can't afford to do it themselves, or they are physically unable.
There are no more excuses... You can sleep in your own bed, use your own bathroom, you don't have to drive a thousand miles to get there, and best of all, you don't have to sleep in a room with forty snoring men! Doesn’t that sound easy?
There will be something for everyone to do; minor home repairs, spring cleaning or yard work, drive to get supplies, fix food for our workers and neighbors and more importantly pray!! There is something for everyone to do, even those who can’t get out and do the physical labor.
If you want to get out of the pew, we’ll find a job for you! Just click of this link to fill out a SIGN ME UP TO WORK FORM, so we have an idea what you are able to do and when you are available to work. You can also find forms at the information desk and the church office.
Do you know someone who needs help? Here’s your chance to be a good neighbor! Give them a WORK REQUEST FORM and we’ll see if we can help them. You might even take a few minutes and help them fill it out. Extra copies can be found on the website, information desk and in the church office. Maybe it’s you that needs the help. No problem! That’s what this mission is all about.
Remember that ‘DO UNTO OTHERS’ scripture from Sunday School? Jesus said, “In as much as you have done it unto one of the least of the members of my family, you have done it unto me.” Take this opportunity to step out of the sanctuary doors and help us help our neighbors. Who knows, this Christian stuff might even be fun!
Mark your calendar for the week of October 11-14 and get those forms to the church as soon as you can. Help Trinity make History!

Secret Pal Program 2010 Launch: It is hard to believe, but our college students will be returning to school soon. So once again it is time to start thinking about our Secret Pal Program. Any college students that would like a Pal should either contact Linda Gossard at lkg75@hotmail.com or the church office at office@orrvilletrinity.com or by calling 330-682-1806. We will then get you a form to fill out and begin looking for your Secret Pal. Also any one willing to be a Secret Pal this coming school year can either contact Linda or the church office. We appreciate all the Pals that we have had in the past and hope that there are people willing to be a Pal again this year. This year we are going to do something a little different. Last year, there were a few complaints that the Pals never heard from their student, so they were not sure if they were receiving the mail that was being sent to them. So this year our students will have a secret pal e-mail address so they can e-mail and let you know that they are receiving the mail you are sending. The Pals will be given a user name and password so they can access it at any time. So if you see me with a stack of bright folders at church towards the middle of Aug. don't run the other way! Thank you so much!- Linda Gossard
