2007 GOLF LEAGUE RESULTS

           What a summer for golf. With only one rain evening we were blessed with dry but hot weather. Some evenings the temperature was in the low 90’s when we teed off.  This year again was like years past the scores were really close with Jim Leggett leading the way with Wayne Wachtel right behind, Aaron Hollwager and John (Fred Morris) rounding out the top four.  These also were the four team leaders for the end of the year 4 person scramble.  The teams were set with the lowest scorers and the highest scorers making the teams as even as possible. Jim’s 4 under team of John McLaughlin, Bob Hollwager and Diana Morris came in first. Aaron’s 3 under team of Dave Tibbitts, Norm Hibinger and Rev. Dave came in second. Third place went to Fred’s 1 under team that birdied number 9 of Bob Tibbitts, Hank Troyer and me. Wayne’s 1 under team of Esther Leggett, Don Miller and Mary Lou Wachtel for the sake of not saying last place was fourth.  Larry Lisic was so good to us for giving us a special rate on the golf, provided us with a great banquet including ribs and chicken, green beans and potatoes with plenty for seconds.  The prizes were great. Choices were hats, towels and balls.  Again thanks to all the players, thanks to Larry and his workers, and thanks to the Lord for another beautiful summer!!
